What is this Drug
Vaniqa ( is used to slow down bodily substances called enzymes that help hair grow. The effect is slower facial hair growth.

If skin irritation occurs, reduce the frequency of treatments. If irritation continues, stop using the medicine and contact your doctor. If no improvement is seen after six months of treatme
nt, stop using the medicine and contact your doctor. If condition gets worse while you use the medicine, stop the medicine and contact your doctor.

How should this medicine be used?
Overdosage information with VANIQA is unavailable. Given the low percutaneous penetration of this drug, overdosage via the topical route is not expected (see CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY ). However, should v
ery high topical doses (e.g., multiple tubes per day) or oral ingestion be encountered (a 30 g tube contains 4.2 g of eflornithine hydrochloride), the patient should be monitored, and appropriate supp
ortive measures administered as necessary.

Precautions Before Using This Medicine
Allergies¡XTell your doctor if you have ever had any unusual or allergic reaction to Vaniqa. Also tell your health care professional if you are allergic to any other substances or topical medications.

What side effects may occur?
Vaniqa may cause temporary redness, rash, burning, stinging or tingling, especially when the skin is damaged. If irritation continues, stop use of Vaniqa and contact your doctor. Avoid getting the med
ication in your eyes or inside your nose or mouth. If the product gets in your eyes, rinse thoroughly with water and contact your doctor.
